In response to the worsening weather and transportation disruptions, the OVP extended the operational hours of its Libreng Sakay buses until midnight to accommodate more passengers last July 21.

The following day, July 22, the last trip was scheduled at 10:00 PM, ensuring that late-night commuters still had access to safe and reliable transport.
The OVP's Libreng Sakay buses continue to serve the public daily along major routes, including EDSA Carousel to Monumento-PITX, Quiapo to Commonwealth, and PITX to Naic, Cavite.
These buses operate during peak hours, specifically from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and again from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, to maximize assistance to workers and students affected by limited public transportation.
To date, the OVP has deployed nine (9) Libreng Sakay buses operating across Metro Manila, Naic (Cavite), Cebu, Bacolod, Davao, and Tacloban, providing critical mobility assistance in times of need.
This initiative is part of the OVP’s broader commitment to public service and disaster response, ensuring that Filipinos can continue to access safe, free, and reliable transportation even during emergencies.
